Summary: The Administrative Medical Secretary for the Care Coordination Department is responsible for supporting and coordinating administrative tasks required for the Care coordination Department as well as supporting patient discharges. This position is also to act as liaison between outside groups and the Department including communication and paper work sent to and from insurance companies and post-acute care providers, eg. SNF, Home Care, DME, etc. The Administrative Medical Secretary is responsible for the mailings and faxing to government agencies as required by their regulations. The Administrative Medical Secretary will support the Department Manager by maintaining key financial and clinical statistics and databases as directed by senior leadership of the Hospital.

Requirements:Two years in acute care setting, two years as Medical Secretary.

• Understanding of Medical terminology.
• Knowledge and proficient computer skills with experience with Excel, Work and Power Point Microsoft programs
• Proficiency with creating spread sheets for maintaining data for the department
• Graduate of accredited Medical Secretary program preferred
