  1. Florida Nursing Home Administrator Licensure
  2. Education 3: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree
  • Selects trains/orients, and assigns department staff (through subordinates)
  • Recommends sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide quality care
  • Develops standards of performance determines areas of responsibility, and assign accountability
  • Delegates authority to the various supervisory members of the staff
  • Monitors utilization of personnel and workflow
  • Interprets philosophy, policies and procedures for supervisors
  • Counsels supervisors concerning operational and personnel problems
  • Participates in the formulation and maintenance of continuous programs for the orientation, training, and career development of personnel and encourages professional development of staff
  • Evaluates performance of department personnel and initiates personnel actions.
  • Utilizes internal and external resources
  • Reviews department performance continuously
  • Effects changes to improve the quality of services
  • Simplifies workflow
  • Assures compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Keeps informed of department activities, needs and problems
  • Particpates in quality improvement programs
  • Assures compliance with the current federal, state and local regulations
  • Establishes and maintains good intra, inter-departmental, community and regional relationships
  • Provides age appropriate care in consideration of growth, development and social needs of resident
  • Provides consultation to members of staff, patients/families, community agencies, and other persons or groups to resolve knowledge deficit related to ALF services
  • Remains knowledgeable of state, federal and facility policies and coverage guidelines
