Position Summary

Shift Details 7:330p Every Saturday and Sunday

Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and registration of individuals who have hospital-based outpatient testing or procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database.
  • Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments.
  • Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven knowledge Medical Terminology.
  • Ability to type 40 wpm.
  • Excellent customer service/communications skills.
  • Exhibited ability to work as part of a team.
  • Exhibits team-building skills.
