Job Summary:

The Mobile Therapist (MT) /Behavioral Consultant (BC) provides services to the child and adolescent population ranging in age from 2 to 22 years and is diagnosed with a DSM V mental health disorder. MT /BC services are delivered per authorized weekly levels in conjunction with Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) services as a part of the Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) treatment modality. The MT/BC supports a diverse caseload delivering Mobile Therapy or Behavioral Consultation services to each client. Services are provided in naturalized settings, meeting with clients and their caregivers in their homes, schools and communities. The BC/MT is expected to function with a high degree of independence and self-initiative, and to additionally provide regular and ongoing supervision of the BHT staff working on their caseloads. Regular travel within Mercer and Lawrence counties is required. The MT/BC completes other duties as assigned. This may include working in other Behavioral Health departments / qualified roles as needed.

MT service delivery consists of direct one-on-one counseling that begins with an assessment of client and family strengths and needs. The client, family, and other caregivers work together with the MT to meet objectives as identified by an Intensive Treatment Plan. BC Service provision requires fluent skill with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other behavioral therapies. BC’s provide clinical direction of behaviorally based treatment programs to BHT staff, caregivers and teachers in support of client goals. The BC provides assessment, data analysis, program design and ongoing revision of behavioral interventions.

Requirements:

  • PA Licensure: Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS), counselor (LPC), Social Worker (LSW), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification, or licensure as a psychologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Background clearances (as required by law)
