Job Summary:
The BHS Liaison's primary responsibilities involve coordination and management of behavioral health referrals that are made to the BHS inpatient units on the off shifts and weekends. This includes the management of phone and fax referrals, as well as conducting direct patient screenings. The BHS Liaison will work closely with the Emergency Care Center and hospital medical units to facilitate the transition of patients across the continuum of care. The BHS Liaison may also provide behavioral health education and support to other hospital departments as well as to the general community. In addition, the BHS liaison will provide general floor support as needed for the BHS Inpatient units.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Health-Related Sciences, Masters Preferred
- BLS
- Clearances (Act 33/34; Ohio BCI if OH resident)
- 3 years’ experience with Behavioral Health populations preferred
- COAP/SCM/MOAB within 6 months of hire
