Job Summary:

Responsible for daily operation of Echocardiology to assist in patient diagnosis or treatment. Provides appropriate patient care (adult, and geriatric). Contributes to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring quality and continuity of patient care. Assists in the clinical training of students assigned to clinical site. Coordinates patient flow within and maintains appropriate levels of supplies. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Graduate of an approved Echocardiology program. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential preferred. Current BLS certification required.

Minimum Work Experience:

One to two years related experience preferred.

Other Skills and abilities:

Knowledge of echo policies & procedures, protocols, equipment operation, and positioning techniques. The ability to handle multiple tasks/projects in an ethical and professional manner. Is able to communicate, in an effective manner, and coordinate the daily operations of the department to include any changes. Flexibility to work overtime as needed and weekend rotations. Ability to maintain effective interdisciplinary working relationships.

Equipment, Software, Certification:

Experience working with Philips Echocardiology machines preferred
