Job Description

Processes and sterilizes instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure the availability of instruments, supplies, and equipment to meet the needs of patient-care activities. Utilizing universal precautions, decontaminates and sterilizes instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for handling. Maintains a safe, clean patient-care environment utilizing a cost-effective approach to ensure optimum patient care and employee safety. Displays leadership abilities by assuming responsibility / accountability for assigned unit activities and by supporting unit / division decisions to enhance patient and unit objectives. Supports and adheres to St. Luke's guest relations philosophy to ensure that patients, physicians, visitors, and co-workers receive outstanding personal care and attention.


- BLS Certificate 

- Central Sterile Certification required

- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

- Additional languages preferred

- Basic computer knowledge.
