Chest Pain Coord
The Chest Pain Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing services and activities related to the Chest Pain Center. He/She functions as a liaison between the physicians, nursing staff, allied health professionals, patients, and their families. Coordinates and facilitates the care for the chest pain patient throughout the continuum. Works closely with physicians and nursing to ensure clinical care path is followed, as appropriate. Is responsible for developing, monitoring, and evaluating quality management activities related to the Chest Pain Program.
The Chest Pain Coordinator participates in program development as it relates to the Chest Pain Center. This includes, but is not limited to staff education, community education, and marketing. Responsible, in coordination with the Chief Quality Officer, for planning, developing, and implementing Chest Pain Center initiatives. Will maintain quality standards for responsive service including data management of key quality indicators. He/She will take a leadership role in development and implementation of outcomes evaluation as guided by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) accreditation standards.
Requirements: Pennsylvania RN license, CPR
Preferred: Community education/teaching experience.
Day shift position. Will work some evenings and an occasional weekend to participate in outreach programs.
