About ORMC:

Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.

About the Position:

Responsible for planning and implementing the performance improvement program to meet the needs of the hospital. Provides education to medical staff, hospital staff and Governing Body. Facilitates performance improvement activities throughout the hospital. Acts as resource person to administrative team, department managers and medical staff. Assists department managers with preparation for medical staff committees. Oversight responsibility for all regulatory body surveys, i.e., DNV, State Licensing Review, CMS Validation surveys. Maintains oversight responsibility for all performance improvement activities conducted throughout the institution.

Regulatory Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse, Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  2. CPHQ certification preferred.
  3. Additional course work or equivalent experience in performance improvement and CQI.

Previous experience in performance improvement activities strongly preferred
