FT Cath Lab Tech RT/CVT
Performance of technical work and related patient care involved in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease and interventional radiology. Performs radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature requiring attention to sterile technique, close patient observation and specialized radiographic equipment. Performs diagnostic or/and interventional studies. Requires commitment to on call assignment with 30 minute onsite expectation.
Performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts small catheters through a needle into the blood vessels and into the heart so that X-rays, angiograms and other recordings can be taken to determine the hearts structure and function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. A college degree in specialized area is required Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

-American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
-American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)-Education 3: Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree
