Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)- Behavioral Health
The MSW directs, monitors, and evaluates social services provided in the SMMC Behavioral Health Unit. The MSW also provides social services and supportive counseling services to BHU patients. The MSW provides professional supervision and oversight of BSW staff members providing social services, including approving psychosocial assessments and discharge planning.
Education: Masters Degree in Social Work, Licensed
Experience: Prefer 3 years work experience in mental health, substance abuse, developmental disability, or human services field. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under many different time lines and task completion demands. Ability to work effectively with the public and persons with emotional and mental illness problems.
Licenses/Certificates: Successful completion of AHA approved course in BLS certification required upon hire. CPI/HWC/COAP required within 30 days of hire or comparable De-escalation and safe Intervention program within the past 12 months with documentation of completion.
