Position Summary:
Responsible for referral processing and patient scheduling in support of the Steward Health Care Network practices. The primary role of the Manager is to lead the daily operations of the Team to ensure that all requests are facilitated in a timely and accurately manner. The Manager will also be responsible for identifying and implementing process and technology improvements to drive the performance of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Ensure accurate scheduling of appointments and timely processing of referrals.
    • Develop and implement key performance targets such as accuracy, productivity and timely processing.
    • Lead the teams in achieving performance targets.
    • Implement processes and technology as appropriate to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency in operations.
    • Conduct on-going analyses and assessments of operational performance for continuous systems and process improvements, improved efficiency, and improved customer service.
    • Maintain current knowledge regarding industry best practices. Evaluate, identify, and recommend systems and practices that would enhance and improve Steward Direct processes. Implement as appropriate.
  • Team Management
    • Ensure training and development of staff by identifying training needs and establishing initiatives to meet departmental, organizational and personal development goals.
    • Responsible for employee satisfaction and retention through practices that promote communication, rewards and recognition, teamwork and administration of effective employee relations practices.
    • Maintain adequate staffing levels by interviewing, screening and selecting applicants to meet staffing requirements.
    • Conduct on-going analyses and assessments of operational performance for continuous systems and process improvements, improved efficiency, and improved customer service.
    • Maintain current knowledge regarding industry best practices. Evaluate, identify, and recommend systems and practices that would enhance and improve Steward Direct processes. Implement as appropriate.
  • Call Center experience
    • Project management experience a strong plus, managing multiple projects to accommodate different stakeholders
    • Sound verbal and written communication skills; outstanding interpersonal skills; Ability to relate positively with customers
    • Creative, flexible, and self-motivated with sound judgment ; ability to plan and implement
    • Commitment to service excellence
    • Analytic skills, including root cause determination and problem solving.
    • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Computer proficiency (Microsoft products)
