Senior Behavioral Health Clinical Nursing Director
Unique opportunity for qualified RN to practice as a director while still providing direct care. The Senior Behavioral Health Nursing Director will supervise a team of nurses and certified nursing assistants in providing patient care to in-patient geriatric patients with psychiatric issues.
Responsibilities include preceptorship, process development, quality improvement, and effective communication with physicians, staff, and other directors. Nursing Director will work closely with Chief Nursing Officer, the Medical Director and Social Work Director to develop a strong multi-disciplinary approach serving the population.
Unit is 20 beds with Board Certified Geriatric Medical Director and excellent staff experienced in Senior Behavioral Health service. This position is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys geriatrics and wants to be a part of a dynamic and forward thinking team. The Senior Behavioral Health Nursing Director will also work direct care shifts as needed, and will be expected to manage scheduling.
RN licensure required
Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing highly preferred.
Experience with geriatric populations preferred.
3 Years RN experience preferred.
RN Supervisory experience preferred
RN with BSN eligible to take ANCC Psychiatric- Mental Health Certification (RN-BC) are encouraged to apply.
Completion of the ANCC Psychiatric- Mental Health Certification (RN-BC) is required in within 1 year from employment start date.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
