Job Description

The RN Staffing Manager supervises the regional float pool, consisting of RNs, CNAs, and other non-licensed personnel across the 3 Florida Steward hospitals. The position is responsible for the coordination of regional market pool staffing efforts, in order to promote efficiency, and decrease overall agency usage across the region. The Staffing Manager, under supervision of the Regional Director of Resource Management, will maintain an efficient level and mix of personnel, in relation with patient census, and colloaborate with the local staffing offices to identify and assist with nursing staffing problems. Performs the coordination / montioring / evaluation of market pool staff's activities, including but not limited to: education, staff evaluations, hiring process, performance improvement, policies and procedures, scheduling, and counseling / disciplinary process. Demonstrates the knowledge and assessment skills necessary to communicate, educate, and provide a therapeutic and safe environment for specific age groups served. Monitors agency usage, vacancy patterns, and LOA trends with respect to daily/weekly/monthly staffing needs. Participates in the development and evaluation of operational strategies that help to reduce local agency use and departmental overtime. Performs daily upkeep of ANSOS staffing, demographics, and schedules. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-Active FL RN License or Multi-State License
-ACLS
-BLS
-PALS (preferred)
-Associates Degree
-2 years of clinical experience in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry required
-Prior experience in management (preferred)
-Staffing and Scheduling experience required
