Job Description

Responds appropriately to all incoming emergency calls to ensure immediate communication to appropriate party/parties.  Answers all incoming calls, providing information or directing call to ensure that the caller reaches the appropriate individuals and/or departments in a timely manner.  Must be familiar with usage of two way radio system for Security dispatch.  Must have ability to multi-task and remain calm under stressful conditions.  Must be flexible, reliable and dependable with emphasis on punctuality and attendance as it is a one person per shift position.  Must have reliable transportation.  Adheres to institutional policies to assure consistency and quality in health care delivery.  Other duties as assigned.


- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent


- Minimum Experience: Must have at least two years previous switchboard operation experience; must have knowledge of communications system’s equipment; familiar with dispatching via two way radio system; must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to six pounds.


- Required Certification/Registration: Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license.
