Position Purpose:

The Lead Phlebotomist manages the daily operation of the Support Service Team which includes Phlebotomists and Lab Services Representatives under the direction of the Coordinator. Responsible for : specimen collection, specimen preparation, scheduling, assigning duties, assess staff competency, quantity and quality of work, monitoring turn-around-times, maintaining supplies, training and interacting with clients. Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Education:

High School Diploma and completion of a Certified Phlebotomy training program required.

Experience:

Previous phlebotomy experience required.
Five years clinical experience and/or prior supervisory experience preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:

NCA/ASCP registration recommended. BLS required.
