Summary:

Responsible to Laboratory Services for supporting the Laboratory philosophy and providing high quality, cost-effective comprehensive patient care. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or GED with related experience or training in medical assistant or phlebotomy. Phlebotomist certification is required.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license and proof of current insurance.
  • BLS certification required and maintained or obtained within 30-days of original job date.

Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

  • Performs blood collection following established standards and procedures.
  • Utilizes Laboratory Information System (LIS) to enter patient information and order lab tests.
  • Provides customer service to patients and clients.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies in office setting and fills client supply orders
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Performs and maintain documentation for routine temperature checks and other documentation as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
