About SMMC:

Scenic Mountain Medical Center is a community health care provider serving patients in Howard County. An acute care hospital with 146 licensed beds, Scenic Mountain is Joint Commission accredited. Our specialized services include cardiology, orthopedics, maternity, diagnostic imaging, emergency care with a 24/7 level IV Trauma Center, wound care, and women's health and breast care services.

About the Position:

The Staff Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities, performs radiographic procedures, applies principles of radiation protection and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures, provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures, recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures, establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and the Medical Staff. Performs radiology services “on call” as needed.

Regulatory Requirements:

Current Texas Department of State Health Services Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist License (within 90 days of hire), American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R) or within twelve months from hire date; Registry in Radiology preferred. Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
