The Receptionist ensure that the patients are properly admitted to the facility in a
timely, accurate and courteous manner. Communicate with nurses and patients
regarding any delays and any unexpected issues. They insure that the services
and procedures performed by the providers can be accurately billed, so the Billing
Dept. can accurately perform their jobs. Receptionist are required to schedule
follow-up visits as instructed by the Provider..
- Must have a high school degree or general equivalence degree.
- Must have at least two years experience in a physician’s practice.
- Must have working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Requires excellent communication skills to relate to physicians, patients, outside organizations/people, and other office staff.
- Knowledge of medical supplies, ordering procedures, inventory and clerical skills is helpful.
