Job Description

The Record Retrieval Specialist supports the organization's need to obtain and audit medical records and similar documents to meet regulatory standards and business needs, such as risk adjustment, HEDIS, and performance measure calculation. 

 

Meet goal of retrieving 95% of records per project and 85% accuracy (includes retrieving claims screen shots from claims system, medical records from electronic medical records systems, faxes, and mail); track, trend, and escalate barriers to supervisor.

 

Organize and deliver screen shots and medical records per department system (i.e. using correct shared folders, correct naming conventions) in an accurate, well-organized and timely manner to allow end users (auditors, abstractors) to efficiently access needed records; convert files to usable format.

 

Prepare and submit accurate productivity and project reports.

 

Organize travel accommodations and accurately complete expense reports in a timely fashion, adhering to company expense and travel policies.



Qualifications

Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED

One (1) or more years of experience in any of the following: physician office support staff, HIM department, electronic medical records (EMR), release of information, or documented experience with computer software and hardware
