Registered Nurse


Provides direct and indirect patient care in the wound care setting. Communicates with physicians/director/charge nurse/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the patient; possess the ability to identify each patients requirements relative to his or her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures and skills check lists.  Must be able to respect diversity of each individual’s values, culture, spiritual beliefs, and other socio-economic issues in addressing the needs of patients, visitors, and co-workers. Participates in performance improvement activities.  



Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Utah.
  • Current BLS issued by American Red Cross or the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider. 
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of wound care techniques and the ability to perform procedures for all wound care types.
