The Emergency Department RN provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly, and is also individualized to a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse.
The Emergency department RN incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our mission, vision and values into nursing practice at GSMC.
A qualified RN may be required to fill the charge nurse role as needed and is responsible for supervision of other health care personnel caring for patients assigned to the registered nurses’ care.
- Position requires a minimum of three (3) years' nursing experience in and emergency department.
- BSN preferred; Graduate from an approved school of nursing required.
- Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience in an emergency department is required.
- Valid Massachusetts RN license, ACLS Certification, and PALS or ENPC required.
- Experience with Meditech strongly preferred.
