The Cardiac Catheterization - Vascular RN is licensed in PA specializing in the monitoring of physiologic data received during cardiac catheterization & vascular procedures, performing as circulating assistant, utilizing radiological equipment as necessary, and administering medications under the direct supervision of the physician and within hospital guidelines. The Cardiac Catheterization - Vascular RN serves as a clinical role model and consultant for his/her assigned unit within Surgical Services. Accountable to the Director of Cardiovascular Services for the nursing management of the assigned unit, he/she maintains a positive clinical environment ensuring delivery of quality care for cardiology patients, promoting cohesiveness within the department and the hospital. He/she assists in coordination of personnel, supplies, and equipment that efficiently run the Cardiac Cath – Vascular Lab schedule on a daily basis. He/she demonstrates ethical and appropriate clinical behavior. He/she is available to work variable hours as required by staffing needs. Must learn E-file for patient scheduling and paperwork.
Graduate of Accredited training program for Registered Nurse.
Desirable two years experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Vascular Lab, previous ICU/CCU experience and interventional radiology experience. Must be proficient in interpreting EKG rhythms, blood pressure, and hemodynamics.
Valid PA RN License, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required.
