About the Position:

The Nurse Intern will provide direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical/telemetry setting under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. In addition, they will communicate with supervising RN and Nursing Instructor, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The Intern will participate in the department's performance improvement activities. This position provides services to ages neonate to geriatric adults. Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing; or licensed foreign nurse waiting to take state boards.
  • Successfully completed NUR 101 and NUR 102 or RN student with documented completion of Med-Surg, Adult Health Rotation or be within one year of graduation unless foreign licensed Nurse.
