Job Summary:
The primary role of the Utilization Review Specialist ensures that the appropriate authorization for treatment is secured, and that all pertinent clinical information is present to obtain this authorization. The UR specialist registers patients and works with members of the interdisciplinary team to assist in the delivery of quality care across the continuum. Assists in maintaining records, answering correspondence and in planning for individual age-specific needs as it relates to the assigned patient population. Documentation requirements are monitored by the UR Coordinator.
Requirements:
- A Bachelors Degree is required.
- A Master’s Degree is preferred in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work.
- PA Child Abuse Clearance / Criminal Record Check
- 3 years working with Children / Adolescents
- Driver's License and valid insurance
